The idea of a New Year is always invigorating. It’s the perfect time to plan a refresh in the spaces we live in.

We truly believe in decorating with what you love. Following the crowd is not what we encourage. But keeping an eye on trends helps to keep the look fresh.

See what’s trending in 2024!…

1. CURVES

People are asking for round or oval dining tables as opposed to rectangular. And we love it! Also, you will find curvy sofas and chairs being used more. Round lines are softer and draw people in.

2. WARMER COLOURS

Pantone declared Peach Fuzz as 2024 colour of the year – but we’ve been using warmer colours all year. Cognacs, golds, earth tones and warm reds – sounds like the 80’s? but done in a new way of course! If you recently did an all grey house, don’t despair. Nothing is more beautiful than mixing cool and warm – like charcoal and camel😊

3. SERVICEABLE FABRICS

Where 10-15 years ago, young families requested lots of leather for durability, now there are so many choices in serviceable fabrics. You can wash or spot clean these fabrics, so they are wonderful for sofas and chairs. Every major line of fabric has their trademark name: Crypton, FibreGuard, Endurepel..etc..

4. BIG, STATEMENT LIGHTING

The old saying ‘go big or go home’ has never been truer. Lighting is like beautiful jewellery and should always be a top priority. It’s the one thing people notice right away. So make it dramatic and error on the side of big!.

5. NATURAL VIBES

Light, airy spaces with natural textures is today’s more casual look. It can incorporate light coloured upholstery, textured fabrics, white oak floors, wicker and earthy accents.
